Total War: Warhammer is the tenth major edition of the famous series of strategy games created by the British team Creative Assembly.

As mentioned above, the gameplay does not deviate to a large extent from what we had to deal with in the previous scenes of the Total War series. The foundation of the game is the management of own land in the turn-based system – gathering resources, expanding cities, developing technologies, trading, conducting diplomatic games, recruiting and moving branches, etc. At least this is how a game in a model case looks like (for example in people from the Empire), because in Total War: Warhammer each race proves to be completely different. For example, the development of infrastructure in the orcs descends to a distant plan, and the most important becomes the so-called Waaagh! – the original battle spirit of the green-skinned race, which is a kind of resource. The more we throw ourselves into the fight and win, the more warriors the leader gathers under his banner, but in the case of suffering and loss, our power begins to melt away. In each faction, the so-called agents, or special heroes appearing in several different classes, who move independently, develop their skills along with their successes, and take part in battles.

The latter constitute the second main pillar of the game in Warhammer: Total War. The clashes take place in real time and are very spectacular – much more so than in the previous installments of the series. This is due not only to the modernized technological layer, but also to the great variety of military formations that participate in the battle. We have, depending on the faction, various varieties of infantry and cavalry, more or less classic siege engines, artillery, as well as giant creatures and creatures and flying machines. Also new is the presence of heroes on the battlefield (in this role we use the previously mentioned agents), whose special abilities – for example, magicians’ spells – can seriously mix up on the battlefield.
