About Outcast – Second Contact
Outcast: Second Contact is a remake of 1999 released Outcast from the studio of Appeal, which was an adventure action game in the realities somewhat reminiscent of the Stargate movie from 1994.
The plot of the game in question was set in 2007, in an alternative vision of reality in which the United States sends a research probe into space to prove that we are not alone in the universe. However, when the device goes to the planet Adelph and is destroyed by indigenous people – the Talan race – a black hole is created, which is a threat to the Earth. To save the world from extinction, humanity sends to Adelfa Cutter Slade, a veteran of the American fleet, assisted by three scientists. However, after arriving at the scene, they become complicated, as the main character (Slade in this role) is separated from the rest of the group and appointed by Talan the messiah and savior of the yoke Faé Rhân, a cruel tyrant oppressing the people of Talan.
Outcast: Second Contact is an extensive game combining elements of various genres. The action takes place in an open world, divided into several large areas, between which the player moves through portals. The creators left us the freedom to explore, talk with the inhabitants of this extraordinary world and perform side tasks. Of course, there is also a lack of arcade sequences, in which the title changes into a TPP shooting – however, the creators left Slade a lot of freedom when it comes to choosing ways to resolve fights. It was also tempted to implement logic puzzles.back to menu ↑
