About Mount & Blade: Warband
Mount & Blade: Warband is a stand-alone addition to the production of Mount & Blade released in 2005, combining the features of a sandbox action RPG with elements of strategy.
Mount & Blade: Warband has no classic storyline, focusing mainly on the openness of the world and full freedom in shaping the fate of our hero. In the game, we play the role of a traveler who goes to the land of Calradia maintained in medieval climates, and our task is to gradually build a reputation by participating in subsequent battles and developing a mercenary team subordinate to us.
In terms of mechanics, production largely benefits from the proven solutions of the first Mount & Blade, and the gameplay is on two levels. The first of them is a strategic map, where we move around the world of the game and manage the hero, his equipment and team. During the fight, participation in the tournament or after entering the city, the game switches to the action mode, where we control our hero in the FPP or TPP view, and also give the team various commands. Like the original, the game is characterized by a realistic combat model and allows you to test a wide range of medieval weapons like swords, axes, arches, crossbows, clubs and more.
Mount & Blade: Warband significantly develops many aspects of its predecessor and introduces a number of new opportunities, in the vast majority of responding to the suggestions of the players themselves. As in the course of the game our character can go to the top of the feudal ladder, the creators improved the artificial intelligence of individual vassals and commanders on strategic and political issues and developed our diplomatic capabilities, thanks to which we now have much more power and have fuller control over their domain. We can subjugate to other lords and derive various benefits from it; there is also the option of concluding political alliances through marriage. A significant novelty is also the possibility of establishing your own faction. The novelty set is complemented by an improved tutorial, explaining much more aspects of the game, making it more accessible to beginners.back to menu ↑
