About DuckTales: Remastered
DuckTales Remastered is a remake of the classic two-dimensional platformer with the same title, which appeared in 1989 on the NES console.
The story presented in DuckTales Remastered begins when the nephews of Donald Duck are kidnapped. Taking care of them, Sknerus McKwacz sets off on a journey, hoping to save them. To save his charges, he must visit the deep African mines, the Amazon jungle, the Himalayas, Transylvania and the Moon. The gameplay did not change significantly compared to the original, we are still dealing with a two-dimensional platformer. Scrooge can skillfully use his cane, smashing some items with it, or jumping and using it like a pogo stick. On the way of the hero there will be various opponents, and at the end of each level, bosses will be waiting. In each location we find a lot of hidden surprises, such as crystals or ice cream that regenerates health.
The graphic design of the title differs significantly from what we could see in the first DuckTales. All locations have been prepared in three dimensions, and the character models and opponents are two-dimensional, animated sprites. The producers tried to make what we see on the screen reminiscent of Saturday mornings with the animated series, which is the basis of the game, so it is colorful, funny and cartoon. The soundtrack of the title consists of remixes of original 8-bit compositions and completely new melodies.back to menu ↑
