About Dominions 5 – Warriors of the Faith
Dominions 5: Warriors of the Faith is the next installment of a series of strategy games launched in 2001. Like the previous parts, the title was created in the independent studio of Illwinter Game Design.
Dominions 5: Warriors of the Faith does not differ much from previous series hits, offering turn-based gameplay reminiscent of 4X productions. We play the role of the god of one of dozens of available nations, and our task is to get rid of competitive beliefs. We start the game with the creation of our own deity, and individual features are influenced by on which turn to start the game and on the character of blessings. The latter may take the form of passive bonuses for our followers or activated abilities, the most powerful ones requiring the presence of the avatar of our deity.
Dominions 5: Warriors of the Faith retains the complexity of the game from which the previous editions of the series were known. During the game, we must manage our domain, paying attention not only to the income from the province and their military potential (including population and resources), but also factors such as social unrest and the number of unburied bodies. There are magical studies that give access to more powerful spells belonging to one of seven schools and eight paths. The heart of the game is to fight other gods using a variety of units, including commanders and holy soldiers with divine blessings. Military issues are subordinated to all game systems – victory can be achieved in several ways, but each of them requires the expansion of the army.back to menu ↑
