About Bury Me, My Love
Bury me, my Love is inspired by real events (the story of a girl named Dana who set off from Syria to Germany in September 2015), an interactive story about a war devastating Syria, presented via text messages.
The main heroes of Bury me, my Love are Majd and Nour – a marriage coming from one of the Syrian cities destroyed in bombardments. When Nour’s sister falls victim to war, she concludes that she can not live any longer and decides to go to Europe. Unfortunately, Majd can not set off – he must look after his grandfather and grandmother, who would not have the slightest chance of survival without him. Nour sets off alone, preparing as soon as possible. During the trip, she stays in touch with her husband, using a mobile phone purchased for this purpose.
Gameplay in Bury me, my Love is based primarily on reading and sending text messages and images, just like we would talk to someone through an ordinary messenger, such as WhatsApp or Messenger. The difference, of course, is that the recipient of our messages – and the author of those we receive – is Nour, a fictional character who is the wife of a protagonist, in whose role we are incarnated. The protagonist tells us about the next stages of her journey and the hardships with which she is associated. Communication takes place as if the events took place in real time – for example, if a woman writes to us that she has something to do that may take a few hours, it is highly likely that it will not be available for such time.back to menu ↑
